This week Marq Youngblood continued in our series, The Next Right Thing teaching from the gospel of Matthew and the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus said to “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” We need to look at who the king of the kingdom is to understand the full meaning of this statement. We need to look at who Jesus is. Some attributes that come to mind are loving, pure, without sin, holy, beginning and end, and he reigns now and forever. Two critical things should guide our lives: Above all, seek his kingdom and above all, seek his righteousness.
