What is a disciple?

Where do I start?
Crossings Discipleship Pathway is how Crossings follows in the footsteps of Jesus, adopting his way of life as our own. It is supported by three pillars Jesus modeled during his ministry: weekly worship, small groups, and a personal relationship with God.
Crossings encourages everyone who calls this their church home to commit to each of these three pillars:
Gather on Sunday mornings with your church family.
Collective worship is a tangible way to honor God and unites us as a church, reminding us that we are one part of a larger body of believers and that we need each other to be whole.
Participate in a smaller community where you are challenged, encouraged, and known.
These smaller groups are places where you can share your story, dive deeper into Scripture, learn more about the work God has done throughout history, and find connection with other believers.
When two or more people gather, we consider it a group. Opportunities to participate in a group include:

Keep in mind: these groups may change during your journey as you navigate through different seasons and stages of life.
Connect with God individually through regular spiritual practices
The Church has historically referred to the spiritual disciplines as “means of grace” through which we position ourselves in the ordinary places where God’s power is typically at work.
Rather than thinking of the disciplines as goals that must be achieved to be a “good” Christian, consider them God’s invitation to a full, abundant life.
Personal ways to engage with God are often referred to as spiritual disciplines—reading the Bible, prayer, serving, and giving, to name a few. Discover resources below to enrich your personal time with God. Click each item to learn more.
