Boaz goes directly to the elders of the city and publicly discusses the matter of redeeming Ruth. After receiving the right to redeem Ruth, Boaz immediately takes her as his wife and the whole town speaks blessing over their relationship! Boaz was a flawed, imperfect human, but this redemption story points to our perfect Savior, Jesus, who redeemed us through His death, burial, and resurrection. God is a God who sees us and provides for us, even when the plot twists come up in our lives and our circumstances aren't what we had expected. Even though we have rebelled and sinned, God chose us and is our perfect redeemer.
