This week Bill Search, Executive Pastor of Education, kicked off our new series, Movementum, with a message challenging us to evaluate our spiritual life. He anchored his message in this verse: “The time has come. The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15). This was the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, and that’s where the book of Mark begins. If these are Jesus’ first words in his ministry, they must be important. This statement requires us to evaluate where we are in our spiritual life and what may need to change, and it reminds us there is good news attached to it.
