This week Bill Search continued in our series, The Next Right Thing taking lessons from an Old Testament story in the book of Daniel. Three faithful Jews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were faced with the dilemma of whether or not to give into peer pressure – going along to get along, or standing strong in their faith, even in the face of death. Believing that God could rescue them, but even if he didn’t, everything they believed about him was still true, they chose the next right thing. They trusted in God, they held onto his faithfulness, and because of their decision others turned to their God, they were part of an miraculous rescue story, and we are still telling of their strong faith to this day.
